Turnout in mud Boots to protect the shoe?

Hi All My 8 yr old paint is coming along nicely from this awful crack I’m super concerned about him losing a shoe from mud in the pasture this time of the year any thoughts or recommendations on boots to keep the shoe on ? It may not even be a concern .. but he’s come along way and would hate to have him start over ... thanks

I would think that your farrier is the best person to advise.
