Does anybody else have a horse who doesn't cope with being sectioned into a smaller paddock?
We have a few out on a big rectangular field and have run two strips of electric fencing across to split it into 3 smaller paddocks.
My boy is in the top section, there's a big gelding in the middle one and two smaller geldings in the bottom section.
Normal my boy is very settled in the field, usually his heads straight down grazing, possible a roll, doesn't run or do anything really! He'll turnout completely alone and be as content as can be equally he'll turn out with mares and gelding or in a bigger mixed herd. In general he's super laid back and I've never seen him once exhibit any stressy behaviour, not a thing.
Anyway he's turned out in his section, and the pony that is normally to lazy to move and incredibly greedy is pacing
he's not interested in grazing the other boys are ignoring him and they themselves are just grazing but he's walking a big triangle over and over and over again. I don't know where it's come from or why he's reacted like this? Does anyone else's horse react like this to being separated by electric tape?
