Turnout Rug for a Hippo?

Has anyone found a rug which a) has a belly flab and b) leg straps set low enough to prevent the rear quarter flipping up when rolling and therefore getting muddy quarters?

I've tried telling him that getting muddy is unbecoming and that I don't have an hour spare before tacking up/rugging etc.
 
i bought separate belly flaps for mine one year, they thread on to the X surcingles, for clipped horses.
i've never found a rug that really stops their 1/4s getting muddy, but Fals do a good job as they're cut long. I'm a huge fan of them. I don't use leg straps on them at all.
I think that if you had the leg straps low and tight enough to stop the rear 1/4 flipping up when rolling, they would probably rub the legs.
 
I have a dirty disgusting wallowing hippo and a full neck fal is my solution, with a snuggy turnout full neck hood. The rug is very deep so stops his quarters getting filthy an the hood saves the mane, ears and neck becoming one large muddy dreadlock.
 
Snuggy hood turnout full leck hood thingy worked well for my horse. Also ive never used them, but ive seen a couple of horses in premier eqine combos and they seem to almost wrap around the horse. And theyre cheaper than fals!
 
I have a premier equine combo and it is the best rug i own and trust me i own a lot (including Fal) My horse is a hippo and is very deep in the girth and this rug fully covers him and doesn’t move when he throws himself on the floor for the 10th time in 5 mins....

I find Rambos are very good, we just thread a seperate belly flap on but i have to agree with the premier equine combos. We bought the 450g ones for the hunters and there very deep and go right up to the ears, and very good value for money. x
