Am wondering if anyone could give me ideas for a suitable rug for a deeper chested horse?

I am usually a Horseware person but the standard Amigo stable rug was an bit too snug and the Amigo XL is a bit too big.
So, it appears he's a bit of a Goldilocks when its comes to rug fitting!

Any ideas? I am going to Robinsons in a bit and am tempted by their Requisite rugs?
Ideally I want a higher neck rug (no neck attachment) and just a medium thickness.

I would rather avoid Weathetbeeta as have never really got on with them but, if anyone can suggest a rug for a deeper chest then it'd be appreciated! Has anyone tried the Requisite range?

Thanks in advance!

I bought a Swish rug for my cob last year. The Amigo fitsbut is snug round his chest and shoulders. the Swish, in the same size, fit really well. They fit snug up the neck and has , so far, been a great rug although he hasn't worn it much yet.
I think they are similar to the Premier Equine but much cheaper

Thanks - they're online aren't they?
I considered a PE one but most of theirs look to have full necks which he doesn't need and were more expensive than I thought they'd be!

I think Premier Equine have a sale until Monday 40% off, if thats any help. They are a good fit for broader horses, my haffy and daughter's cob both wear them.

Thanks. The PE site didn't seem to have any rugs of the right type when I looked. I am trying a Requisite one as was told they are bigger than the Amigos and handily there was a lady there at the same time who had one and said it was a little snug on her horse. However, it sounded like her horse may be broader than mine!
I have bought a chest extender just in case!
Thanks for the input. If this doesn't fit I shall come back to this thread!!

For my draft mare either Weatherbeeta or Horseware fit nicely.
The Shires chest isn't wide enough. Just discovered that having bought her the chicken print rug. Devasted.
Requisite do fit the wider chests, but the quality isn't great.

Thanks all
I've not tried it on yet although I bought a cooler as well (same brand) and that fits.
He was too filthy for me to risk getting the turnout dirty in case it doesn't fit!
He's not wide chested as such (not abnormally so anyway!) bur he is deep at the base of his neck so with to chest if that makes sense.
Not sure if that makes a difference fitting wise.
Will see how this looks. I bought a chest extender just in case!

We always used to use Shires but now we all get Sheldon ones for our yard, they are excellent fit we have the blue check one in 250g. We have a cob who has struggled with many brands but has taken to the Sheldon one well.

Would add that when we had our equine business a few years ago we used to get rugs washed reproofed and repaired for our customers and it is clear to see what rugs were the best, some of the brands were so out of proportion it was laughable at times. Every one is different, every horse is different so it is a matter of opinion i suppose but we recommend Shires for more expensive rugs and Sheldon for the cheaper end.

Big Horse Rug Company online are excellent and well made. The only thing we've found to fit out Shire x TB and Eric the ever growing brick outhouse!!!!

I found swish to be similar to the standard amigos tbh. I am so impressed with the weatherproofness of the axiom rugs and my too-wide-for-amigos lad is in those.

Another vote for axiom rugs, my boy has worn his all winter and this is it's 7th winter, it's never been washed or reproofed, I bought a replacement a few months ago in case the old one leaked but the new one is still in the bag
