Just looking at beginning my two yearlings new wardrobes for this year (no doubt the wardrobe will need upgrading again for next Winter!) and just wondered if anyone knew what brands tend to have smaller neckholes so that on a gangly yearling, there is little or no chance of it dropping below his shoulder and not fitting properly?

mmm yearling what??? breed seems to determine what brand rug sometimes!
cuddly ponies are quite good, though sometimes (depending on breed again) the depth is too much.

I have Amigos for my two. They're not particularly small necked but the necks do seem to be cut higher up. Masta and Mark Todd sit a little low.

And if you get a rug to fit a 14.2, I can always take it off your hands next year, y'know, just to make room for the new ones!

Most of the horseware ones come up fairly snug around the neck, especially the 1/2 neck ones and with the nylon lining they move forwards easily when neddies put their heads down to graze so they don't restrict the shoulders, etc as much as some.

Ha ha!! Well T will end up having a pretty full wardrobe I imagine!!!

Ok, so ones to try are Masta, Amigo's and Horseware! And Weatherbeeta! Gosh I hope this doesn't turn out to be a long drawn out trial and error process...I think there is only so long Bailey will tolerate being, "dressed up" - he's always liked being naked

but I do agree they will probably fit the horse the best. Amigo, Rhino or Rambo depending on the money you have.
