Hi, I’ve got a 14’1 small chestedWelsh X, he’s currently in a 5’6 but it’s quite baggy and he may as well not have the neck on lol, however a 5’3 is short across his back, I want to get him a properly fitted rug for when it gets cold in winter, has anyone got any brand recommendations for a pony with a tiny chest?
Thanks

I use Shires Typhoon turnouts (the cheaper ones) on my finer horses and have been really pleased with how well they've put up with rough gelding play as well as fitting nicely.

For narrow horses....we have a very narrow ISH and this is what we have found:

Shires: Typhoon are the narrowest followed by Tempest. Avoid Highlander as they are for chunkier types.
Horsewear: Amigo (budget end but ok), Rhino, Wug or Rhino with the ring buckle, not the disc front. Rambo are generally more generous so may need to size down
Le Mieux - Arika design is quite narrow too, only tried a stable/travel rug though
Gallop - Ponie are ok, little bit baggy.

Hope that helps!
