turnout rugs

I'm not sure if I'm being really daft here but both my Rambo turnout rugs only have one D ring each side on the back, as do some of my others. Can anyone tell me how to secure the legstraps? I have always used filet strings but new horse has a really light tail. Would appreciate it. Thanks in anticipation.

If I understand you correctly....the leg straps will be secured on to the rug. Take one back through his legs then clip it to the D ring on the same side. Do the same with the other, but feed it through the other strap too. Then clip that one onto the D ring on the same side it is secured to.

Thanks but they are not secured, there is just one D ring on the back on each side, same with my amigo, I just checked but the rugs all come with two legstraps originally! I'm stumped.

None fo the Rambo rugs come with leg straps - all have a single fillet string/strap. Are you sure one isn't a spare?

My Duo only has a fillet string. No matter how vigorously my horse rolls, the rug always rights itself, so it doesn't seem to need leg straps.

yep, no horseware rugs have legstraps - never had a problem with them moving anyway.

If there's just one D ring on each side then the rug will have a clip on fillet string with it. I've just bought a Horseware rug and it has a D ring either side, like you describe, and you just clip the fillet string thingy under the tail to each ring....
