turnt the ponies out naked today......

No way! My paddocks are like a paddy field - they would be caked by tonight! Cant be doing with the hassle! Its not that warm here so I don't feel bad!

2 of mine are naked. Fergus has a rainsheet on to keep him clean. I need to be able to ride him and he's grey - does not fit with being naked in a muddy field

Mine still got thick rugs on, as I got the flu, mum on holiday so my dad went & checked them this morning for me, but I am not to worried as the weather meant to be horrendous again tomorrow. Will be dragging myself up there later to check & feed. Really wanted to ride as it not raining, but have no energy :(

Mine was out naked yesterday and today. Yesterday, had a major guilt trip as I was on the yard mid morning, and he crossed a couple of fields, stood at the gate and neighed. i went home and left him there, getting him later about 2pm or so. I struggled with the thought of him being out in the wet, cold, windy weather versus staying in standing in poo and wee and being bored stiff till 8am next morning.....
I don't mind the mud - I can deal with the grooming!

Mine has a rain sheet on today due to the muddy state of his field and I don't fancy hours of brushing before riding tonight :o

He went out naked on Saturday though :D

turned mine out naked at 10 after it had warmed up went and got her at 11 for farrier and i have a mud monster. :):):D she looked as happy as a pig in mud

if only  it's been chucking it down and blowing a gale all day so my mare's out in a lw combo :( she's been in it all weekend for this reason

Itrg 17degrees here and blue skys.......my sister rode and lunged before turning out this morning so dont mind the mud.......but might change that when the grey comes in :D

I've taken my two's rugs off but am keeping an eye on them to see if they roll so I can judge how much work I'll have to do later when I go put their rugs back on. My fields are drying out nicely in this sun and wind. It's amazing what a difference a few hours make.

Yep :D he is finally loosing his winter coat (clipped) so has been itchy rugged up even though I have been brushing as much of it out as possible. He was very happy to be stripped naked this morning. The field isnt very muddy and he aviods the mud as much as he can so no worries about that .

I'm just off home from uni after an exam so going to go take him out for a hack in the sunshine :D especally as it sounds like its not going to last :(.

I feel really guilty now I bet my boys are sweating in their rugs, normaly have a lw on but in thicker rugs due to the current weather we have had & now it is really warm & as my dad checked them for me this morning told him to leave them as they were are the wind was really cold & now it lovely & warm out I am evil

Mine has been naked since March - he's only a baby though and obviously never clipped. Did consider rugging him during this rain but fortunately he seems to be coping well with the weather and just goes under a tree if it gets really heavy.

Just removed about an inch thick layer of mud of my boy - left him in now till the morning, when I will remove another layer of mud before riding...

I'm the opposit to everyone else :p
Herbs has a rug on for the first time  It's so wet and windy here and he doesn't have much shelter or grass to eat in his field. I went to check him the otherday and he was shivering :( Also he had stopped loosing his coat :(. I put a sheet on him and his coat is coming out again :D

Yep. I am dreading it now though as I want to ride later and don't have too much time. My Horse is a skewbald and thinks shes part hippo, so dreading getting her in and seeing the state of her.
