Tushes coming thro. do you ride?

my new youngster is cutting his tushes and while he isn't mega sore he is trying to chew everything and has been turning his head a little when he has the rubber snaffle in.
So far I haven't ridden him but wonder if I am being too over protective??

There is a def lump looks as tho they should pop thro soon but how long do they normally take to actually come thro?

my mare was ridden when hers came through, only cos I didn't notice. But now thinking about it she also chewed on the bit alot and turned her head to the side

I know thats why she's my he/she, not a typical mare at all

I rode my gelding when his were but tried to be extrelmely sympathetic of his mouth without him taking the piss. Otherwise he'd have had the last 6 months off with various teeth coming through!!
