Tweed jacket help

With the new 2017 showing season coming up, I'm looking for a new tweed jacket! I really like the brown shires Huntington jacket. I was wondering if this would go with my grey m&m? Also, what colour velvet hat, brown or navy? And does anybody have any tip on cleaning a grey for a show

I think brown tweed would look fine with grey. Does it have any navy or brown velvet on the collar, I would probably match the hat to that. Sorry can't help with the cleaning of greys, only have brown ponies with black legs ��

this may sound bonkers - but it works. To get a rough idea of what tweed suits the pony find some old bits of material of the various colours you are considering and lay over their back (anything will do - scarves, saddlecloths, towels, remnants if you dont have tweed) You will probably find that certain colour(s) just look right, and others don't - and it's not always what you'd first expect!! it seems to depend upon the colours in their coats - for example a dark bay with dun/yellow overtones (she was from buckskin parents) looked fab in green, my new dark bay pony with more red/ginger overtones looks better in brown. It works the same with greys.
