Just looked at results, and saw a horse I used to work with WON the OPN with his new owner!!

Bless him. Does anyone know what the track was like?!

sj - wasn't particularly big

first 3 fences straightforward. 4. double of log piles, 2 long strides. 5/6 narrow logs on a curving 6 strides down hill. 7. corner 8. massive hanging log down hill 6/7 curving strides to a narrow log - very tricky. 9. sunken road combination. 10. brush

Then coffin - looks very little but was causing havoc - in and out.

water next, gallop in and out over step, back in water and over log pile. Next was drop and 2 strides to a pliisade.
Hedge to a roll top, then the last was a portable table thing!

I went and had a look round and walked the course. SJ was nice, not overly big. XC was small and inviting to start with but asked a couple of questions later on, they had put in a new fence mid way round which was nice but quite tricky, a hanging log going down hill on a curving line to a skinny hanging log, although there was an alternative.

This was my first PN and I was thrilled to complete (after one stop at the coffin) and even more happy to hear it was considered a trickier one! That encourages me more to carry on at PN next season and not drop back to Intro.
