This is the thing that annoys me about unaff they set there own rules which bare no relation to the national body. I hate the idea of BE lowering standards but you can completely understand why people would do a training level.

Well done important thing is you went really well - any plans now of maybe another ODE?

Very true Lec. The start of the course was very similar to an intro, some fences were strong PN fences but were in the middle of the course just like they should be. HOwever, 8 and 10 were just plain silly.
Would love if T ran further ODE - as the ground suited winston.
I am toying with the idea of purchasing the odd day ticket for him. I also like the idea of dropping him down a level back to Intro in the Open Intro class, mainly so hes not got any pressure on him. The way he felt on sat i would love to have another crack at novice with him.
But all that being said, we are seriously considering putting him on the Tildren and getting him sorted once and for all which means 4-5 months off anyway.

Hi Rambo.
Im really torn atm. Some of me thinks he really needs to have his tildren administered now. A number of reasons, one because the ground is crap and so i cannot compete even if i wanted to.
The other because just occasionally he stumbles - maybe only once every 2-3 wks - he did in the warm up.
We wil see, will keep him fit and well and see what turns up, if the ground is good then yep i will enter something, if not maybe we will go BSJA on a nice surface to protect him (obviously because hes a delicate flower lol).

YAY - well done to you and Winnie, sounds like he really enjoyed his outing

I was watching the dressage tests when the loose horse came galloping though. Most the horses behaved well in their tests considering. There was a lot of high spirits in the tests and some very nervous riders. The Sj course caused a lot of problems resulting in a lot of eliminations, they were just glaring in the sun. My friend managed to go clear SJ, however my other friends horse just did not respect the SJ fences and had switched off with the delays and took 5 fences out with his hind legs. The XC times was too fast, my friend galloped most of it and still picked up 16 time penalties. I liked the XC fences and would love to get Lottie out there next year - bearing in mind she is v gren and has first ODE 2' - 2'3" this sun

well done BB's and anyone else that was there.

I was scoring with the organisors and frankly - what an insight..... I will never again moan at how slow things take. the amount of errors to correct, double checking etc that goes on it incredible and without knowing - you just wouldn't realise....

well done again.

Yes I'll prob be at Mattingley with Saf. I was there yesterday, but didn't make it pass the SJ as my boy napped a treat and wouldn't go anywhere near the first jump, despite warming up nicely!
