Hi all
Our last event of the season today as BCA cancelled
5 of us went from our yard so it had a party feel and someone going all times of the day so busy too.
I was first to go in my section, hate being first in the dressage and she did for Saf a lovely safe test no glaring mistakes and the judge even smiled.........never had one smile at me before
We scored 35 cue very happy me
.
4 hour wait to the SJ but loads of time to see everyone else go.
The SJ warm up was rock solid so only did a few jumps and I was again first to go as they had just finished the intro, went in and Saf did a lovely soft canter really surprised me then saw the first fence and charged it a little, so I remembered my trainer, light seat keep off her back and shoulders up, only near problem was the planks where I thought we had another stride and Saf took off
bless her.
We went clear so huge pats
Dad was so excited he left the dog tied to the fence and started to walk back with me
My friend from the yard saw him and grabed him, sorry Barney dog
Xc, after loss of brakes last week went back to the metal curb chain and was just what we needed, I knew the time was hard to get but decided not to worry about that and go for control. She was a super star and only slight heart stopper was the sunken road where it is meant to be 2 strides and we found it very very short
rest was fab, huge pats and yips from me as we finished for the season.
Saf was a star today she came 6th and tried her heart out, so now its dressage and jumping for the winter and role on next March
Thank you for reading x
