Looking to take my 5y/o out to her first event, what are the thoughts on Tweseldown's 80cm track please? She's confident showjumping but very green XC still. Has anyone been round the BE80 a couple of weeks ago, did they build a welcoming course or up to Tweseldown's usual big and bold standards? Thank you!

I have to say I think it’s quite a tough XC but others don’t. I thought it asked the body questions of any 80 I’ve ever done (at least 10 other venues!). This was 2 years ago though.

Not to compete but been to train. Agree I’ve heard people say it’s one of the bolder ones and think it’s a fair distance around (dep now they set it up ofc). If the area works, Munstead is ime the most forgiving 80 track around there but might almost be too easy!

West Wilts is usually a very forgiving course too.

They have the course photos on shoestring eventing from the recent BE. They usually set a slightly more inviting course for the first event of the season (technically due to the long break for Covid it’s a restart) and looking at the course photos it is a kinder, encouraging course then what they would build for later in the season.
