Twesledown is being inspected today at 10am as to whether the event will run.
Im in shock only snow stops play at tweseldown

Blimey!! I thought that would definitely run no matter what!!

Feel for Cressy she entered Stilemans and the Tweseldown so may not even get to run there.

I hope Poplar still runs - fingers crossed. Need these 2 intro runs before they go PN hopefully at SOE.

Know ppl who also entered stilemans and Twesledown.
Sods law isnt it. Had winston been running this season he would have been entered for both also.
So frustrating for all concerned.
Suprisingly all the northern/east events are running.
 
no idea about tweseldown but i know that it was the dressage arena's @ Stilemans that put a stop to the event going ahead - they were all totally underwater.

i know there is an area on Stilemans where the lorries park normally that gets VVV boggy - even in dry weather. the water table is so hight at hte moment, poor bonnie has a river in her field today !!!

usually around here you get flash floods, but as the rain has been so constant, the water is just saturated the ground making it pond / lake etc...

Tweseldown is one i don't know about really. but hopefully by April 21st it will clear.

doubt the HT at stilemans will run htis w/end! :-(
 
Re. Twesledown, They cancelled a riding club XC/SJ on sunday that is on same kind of sandy footing as Tweseldown just a few miles away..we thought it would go ahead due to ground, but as Bandit says-we are up to our eyeballs in bl**dy water!
 
So far im glad I have entered what I have.

If Poplar runs!! I will be off there on sat then I had entered Munstead but got balloted so entered Grt Witch - which does usually have good ground.

Then SOE start of April - but hopefully the rain would have stopped by then!!!!

I went schooling at Tweseldown last weekend and the going was not good. It was VERY deep on the take offs and landings-one of ours fell on its face and pulled a shoe off so not sure they will run.
