It is possible. We did, just thought the mare was huge that's all. She went full term.
Sadly we had birthing problems and the first foal died at birth, it wasn't until the Vet cleaned the mare out that he discovered another foal in there. Dead but only just. If all had gone well chances are that I could have found twins too.
Hope these two continue to thrive.
