Greenacres stud has identical fillies. The second one didn't show up in scans and they were completely suprised when the mare gave birth!

I realise this thread has been discontinued, however I just wanted to point out that horses cannot have "identical" (i.e. monozygotic - derived from a single embryo) twins... so the fillies at Greenacres may look the same, but are technically not "identical", they will be dizygotic (two different eggs fertilised by sperm from the same ejaculate).

Ok picky. The fillies are twins and they look the same, ie they are identical to look at. I never said they are monozygotic. Never mind ay.
