twisting his leg?

Hi guys,

I have been thinking for a while I was going mad but a friend put my mind at yesterday.

My horse does something weird with his back leg...its as if when he lands his hindleg as he picks it up he twists it..I notice it when I look at his fetlock (rather than hock) in walk or trot etc. Any idea of what this is/why he does it? hope that makes sense

I have spoken to the vet as having xrays on one of his front legs on friday as farrier has noticed a slight imbalance in that hoof so have asked vets to look at his hind as well whilst they are out.

My mare was swinging her leg out tonight. Had vet out straight away, for her its lameness and she may have damaged her tendon. It can often be a way of pain evasion or I turn my foot out when I walk if my pelvis is out. It may just be him! Vet is the best bet x
