two A4 pages of ego..

Fair enough, if you have a genuine grievance. However, considering that non of what you kindly pointed out was made clear before it came off that a few were just sniggering a girl trying to find a ride.

Perhaps she has tried out horses for loan and not found the right one? Or, simply take it as a compliment that she want's to ride of the horse in the first place and realise how lucky you are not to be on the other side.

Also, said young rider has already been to try Ernie (many months ago) back when we first started trying to sell him.. she wanted him at the time, and at first asked for the ride, which we said no to.. she then offered to pay £xx, we again said no, she then offered £xx (double the first offer) and again we still said no, but if you make it £xx we might think about it.. all went quiet!!! So she knows that if she wants the horse, she has to buy it.. yet in this letter she asks again for us to give the ride to her, and pay the horses keep!!

I never ment for this thread to become a slagging match.. if you'll notice above that i actually posted that i regret starting it!! I only posted it as her letter really made me laugh!! anyone with enough confidence to call themselfs the chosen one would make me laugh!!

The girl has several good rides already, many young people would kill for the opportunities she has already been given.

Understable when you know the history.

Please don't get my reply wrong it is just that, in the horseworld especially you see so many of the have and have nots.

ETS, perhaps after reading the post above she isn't quite as needy for the ride as first appears, if so then I understand why you would be miffed.

I would question why you would need 5 lessons a day!!

But as you say, if you dont ask you dont get, maybe she will drop lucky with someone one day!!

Lol, i expect you're right.. but i'm not going to say who it is (so please no PMs asking) as i feel like this thread has got into a bit of a slagging match, which i know i started!! But it's more of a laugh!! I'm only laughing that someone thinks i'm going to pay them to ride my horse!!!

She is ridiculous... and If it is who I think it is its not the first time they have tried it.... can't see much wrong with the ones she has tbh

the 'chosen one' comment was refering to her being the 'chosen one' to base herself where she is, ride/train there.. but if anyone is the 'chosen one' it's AW, who i used to know very well, and would have 1000x more respect for. (you know who it is now don't you)

*sniggers* the trainer advertises in the back of eventing every month inviting people to base themselves with her.
'Chosen one' my arse

yes but THE CHOSEN ONE! who is going to take that seriously, purely on that basis alone she wouldnt get near any horse of mine.

She needs to be educated on how to actually influence people not piss them off!
