..and I'm feeling rather delicate!

All my own fault for not sitting up straight I guess!

I was hacking out yesterday when Vogue suddenly seemed really agitated by something, and was definately upset, being very 'heady' and swishing her tail, bunny hops etc.

So, highly intelligent me leans forwards to rub along her mane and utter reassuring words...just as she gives a tiny half hearted rear and throws her head right back!

Ouch!

I felt an instant explosion of pain and actually saw stars!

I'm quite lucky as I think I slumped in th saddle for a few seconds and that's when she stood still.

I wasn't far from home so turned her back and she was very good bless her, I think-it's all a bit hazy! I do remember the look on my hubbys face as I appeared up the drive using my hatsilk to try and stem blood flow from my nose! Then trying to instruct him how to untack!

I haven't looked yet but I think the throatlash and noseband were done up and the bridle was removed via cheekpieces!

I now have two beautiful eyes rapidly going a deep purple, a cut tonue where I bit it and a graze on my cheekbone I assume being caused by the friction from the headpiece.

Vogue had a little lump that seemed sore on her chest so I'm thinking a wasp or something got caught up in her martingale and stung her!

Gosh, poor you !!! I hope you feel better soon!!!

OOUUUUCHHHH. Hope you feel better soon though those black eyes will take a while to go down and will turn several pretty colours first. I head butted my daughters horse before falling off the other week and had a great big black lump on my chin -- I did hurt. I saw stars as well. Bloody horses.

Oooh ouch-is your chin ok now though?

I'm not looking forwards to multicoloured eyes-I'm Godmother at a christening next week...haven't told the little ones mum yet!

I'm too tender to get my glasses on and OH keeps laughing at me as I sit with my nose pressed up against the screen, then ouching everytime I squint!

Oooooh and the pain if I lean forwards, it feels like someone's taking a hammer to my eyes and nose!

I'll learn!

Aw poor you, it's so easy done and hurt like utter hell. Not to bring you down further but those black eyes take ages to fade properly, I'd invest in concealer

And I actually laughed out loud at this, well done hubby for taking instructions through a silk from a woman bleeding profusely!

OW!! Poor you! Arnica....apply cream and take tablets asap.
My darling arab kicked me in the head, just above my eye, two days before i was due to go to the registery office to fill in the forms for my impending wedding. Needless to say I looked like a battered-soon-to-be-wife, deep bruising, black eyes and stitches,,,,cue much tutting and rolling and of eyes of the office staff there. Luckily I healed in time for the wedding...
