I've moved to a small private yard in August. There was 3 horses and (two geldings and a mare)
My boy has been in his own field since then and I could take him out, ride and hack all on his own he wouldn't care to much if he was left on his own at the yard while the other two went away in trailers.
So in December one of the liveries left (the other gelding). At the start my horse couldn't care less that the other left. But slowly got very attached to the mare... I stupidly let them in to the same field.
Its been just over a week they have been in together and now he will box walk and hop around in his stable (food will not distracted him) and calling for her none stop.
It was icy and the fields was quite frozen over I wasn't keen for my boy to go out.... I didn't have a choice as he barged past me out his stable cantering Straight on to the very ice field to get to her... and the same getting back in to his stable after she left he barged past me at the gate.
He is normally a very easy dude, I can't pick out his feet with out him pacing on the spot.
He will jump a fence or a gate.

I love the yard, but if I have to leave for my horses sake before he gets himself injured i will, as I worried what state he will get himself into when she leaves the yard for a lesson.
Anyone with success story's?

That is the hope, well my horse was very laid back before... in the 4 years of owning him I've never seen him that bothered about being in the stable on his own.
With his behaviour if he goes on box rest because he's been a T*** to get to her i don't think he would settle...
