It would appear the pet name 'Pig' (thanks to her snorting and snoring) is sticking but at least she answers to both
She has well and truly settled and accepted her place as second in command to the queen of the universe. She had finally learnt down so now we have sit and down and she has discovered fetch as well as the toy box. The contents of said toy box get emptied across the living room on a twice daily basis. The best game in the world is playing tug with new toys with Dobby to test how long they last...the current record is 5 minutes! She's loving flyball although unlike the other two I have to really watch my body language as she will spot her ball if she has even an spidey sense that I have a treat. She also enjoyed a solo weekend away with me and OH in Exeter recently and was a total saint. I did not enjoy the surround sound snoring!
Dobby is (I think) starting to grow up a bit! We're starting to be able to actually train him at flyball with a ball (normally we have zoomies post run which take 5+ minutes to catch him). The only thing we've changed is popping a 'stop line' of netting like the back of a ring but it gives him a target and he's straight on his tug.....downside is it's lots of running for me! He's just finished his first 6 weeks of agility which he really loves as it's his solo mummy time. When his brain is engaged he's brilliant (although too fast for me) but when the double whammy longdog brain kicks in, all we can do is giggle at the zoomies! Tonight was one of those nights and he spent a long time spinning on the spot and trying to take out our trainer This weekend was the Toss and Fetch World Championships and I'm very proud to say he is the top dog in his division in the UK Fizz didn't do very well but that's my fault, she has a totally different type of disc and I can't throw hers after throwing Dobby's so she's playing with her dad next season (which I have no doubt she will be pleased as punch about).
Fizz is her usual wonderful self although we have some flyball retraining to do. It appears after a near miss in training last year she has decided she can't possibly do change overs so we're going back to basics and rebuilding her confidence and we're retraining her striding at the box as her turn is better with an extra stride in. Bit gutted she's missed this year as she's 7 next year but as long as she's happy and enjoying the game she'll keep getting to play. I'm pretty sure she's the slowest whippet in the BFA but she loves it.
