hey,
has anyone got any idea about how to ask for/teach two time flying changes? I've always wanted to learn so thought I should get around to it finally!
Thanks :)

It can take a while depending on the horse and depends totally on the horses knowledge of lead chances. Unless you can do - for example - changes on command every 4 strides etc, there's no chance of getting 2-times.

I can explain more how to do two time changes, but only if your horse already does changes on command

Assuming your horse can manage, collected, extended and medium canter, and also walk to canter transitions on both reins, and can do three and four time changes, then this is how I ask:

Say you were cantering left, then change the flexion to the right, wait for the horses inside leg to be on the ground before the 'suspension'. Then at the moment the horses inside leg is on the ground, you apply both old inside leg and old outside leg aids together like this:
old inside leg behind the girth
old outside leg on the girth

I add a bit more weight on the old inside leg aid (make sure you sit up straight though) and I half halt on the old outside rein when the horses old inside leg is on the ground.

Sounds complicated, but I just try to 'feel' it really. You need to know/feel which legs are on the ground.

I sometimes will ride counter canter down the long side of the school and then ask for true canter on the short side when I introduce changes.

Sorry, that really became longwinded. i guess its easier to show someone than type it out! Hope that helps a bit, though.
