Oh my life, check that pic out!! Scary. Do all morgans have pasterns that do that? Is it normal? Looks bizarre. And he is VERY SCARY! Quite like the jumbo 5 yr old tho, looks a bit like OH's old mare.

Morgans do indeed - I have a new one to take out and play at BSJA - very odd action - but actually really nice!

But what the hell is going on in that picture? Was it a dare?

Am I seeing things or has that second horse got its legs tied together, it looks like the boots have a rope going from one leg to the other front and back, I almost want to buy it to rescue it.

It's an elastic tubing band, like the ones used for exercise.

No offence to anyone, but the pic looks pretty typical for a gaited/Saddle Seat-type horse. As in all things, some of the horses in that discipline are treated very well, some not so much. It's not to my taste and I don't know much about it but I certainly know people who ride in that discipline who are decent horsemen and treat their horses well. I guess whether or not you consider it in need of "rescuing" only because of the discipline depends on perspective. I'd imagine a few people feel similarly about event horses.

Tarrsteps as you say all diciplines have their good and bad, I dont have a problem with any dicipline just not keen on the gadgets that are quite often used to achieve a result including my own dicipline (dressage) thought the horse looked quite nice and looks well kept just a shame they have to tie the legs together.

This establishment has lots of success at shows in the UK and in America, so is obviously good at producing horses for the show ring.

At that price I'm quite tempted.

There are lots of ways to enhance movement, some cruel some not. The bungie line just makes the legs work harder, so taken off they feel light as a feather and lift high and extravagantly!
Bit like putting heavy shoes on, then race plates to help a cob/hackney type to lift. Not cruel, or at least no more cruel than making army recruits wear a backpack whilst hill climbing! Far better done that way than some of the others, hoof reshaping,burning....the list is endless.
Jockey does look a little fierce.....!

1st horse,Bargain!! hahaha 2nd one is fab hehehe id go and have a look at the GG just to see this guy ride!!! Horse nice tho(if ur into Morgans)
