Ok so this is BTNAC logging in , worlds only computer literate horse .(Ok I might use spell check a bit). Well , a major turnaround in the mike/BTNAC camp . It was September two years ago that me and mike had our crash . Up till then I had slagged him off frequently on this very forum for ruining my eventing career. But suddenly I am left with the shell of the bloody useless rider I knew. But it has been a long haul. In the last few weeks he has been taking jumping lessons from the fair Cheryl . (as I have seen ,there are very few people mike listens to. Steve hadleigh ,Richard weygood and suddenly this Cheryl bint who is making my life a misery)Anyway ,it seemsthat Mike is up and going for it again, so Today I took him out on the RMAS fun and BBQ ride. BBQ .I didnt get so much as a burnt sausage in a bun!We got there late , ok I didnt want to be caught< and had to play catch up . But It was the old mike riding true xc . Didnt jump much but covered hard ground fast. Just when we had almost caught up we met my long lost uncle 5 times removed limping along. Mike I said we have to escort him home or he will get lost. Mike had to agree so we escorted Alison and Captain off the field of battle, and onto the route home. A mad gallop back ,only to find that the ride was over. Oh ******, and Ive only jumped a small step up ,and a small step down ...............which in terms of the last two years has been my only xc with mike . Yet I am one happy nota cob. We went out there to jump and it was just Karma . Mike has his Mojo back and I have my useless event rider back .....Maybe....

Thank you for the update Bob-not-a-cob! It's great to hear that Mike has his mojo back. Does this mean you'll get some more fun outings soon?

I remember the bob-not-a-cob updates! Always very enjoyable.

Had no idea the lack of updates was due to your rider going lame in a big way - sorry to hear that, and glad to hear his vet has managed to get him back into shape.
Look forward to reading more.

Bob, so glad you've managed to get your rider up and mojo'd again. My mare has a useless lame rider, far beneath (in her opinion) her talents too, so guessing she'll be watching your progress with interest.

Congratulations Bob, all your hard work on getting your human back into shape has obviously paid off. Let's hope his good form continues.
See ,I knew you guys would understand ,all that hard work I put in and ...SHE .. gets all the credit from Mike. Honestly ! All those times I made him walk to the bottom of the field to catch me, when I could have waited by the gate and got my dinner earlier. And all those times I stuck my nose high in the air when he tried to put the bridle on. Making him use that arm . (I got a stiff neck from that, not that anyone cares) .

Glad you had fun but I really feel you should rephrase your description of Cheryl, she sounds like a nice lady so a little edit wouldn't go amiss!

In Arabic the word 'bint' is not offensive - it is often used as 'daughter' as a term of affection. It is surprising how many words mean something different in other languages.

Glad to hear you are back on the XC - I'm sure your useless rider will improve with time and your patient assistance. I look forward to hearing of your xc exploits in the future.
