Tying a quick release knot

Now, I can do these with my eyes closed, however I need to write a leaflet with step by step instructions with how to do one.

I am really struggling with the wording as I am so used to doing them without thinking about it.

Can anyone help?

Try
1. Thread loose end of rope through the tie string
2. bring the loose end over the top of the rope to form a loop, leaving plenty of loos rope.
3. With the loose rope, form a second loop and pass it under and through the 1st loop.
4. Pull the rope attached to the headcollar tight untill the knot stays firm.
5. To undo the knot pull the loose end of the rope untill the knot undoes and then un thread the rope from the tie string.

Sorry i couldnt think of a way to explain it without putting the rope through the tie stringf first so i know this is not a tru quick release knot.

Hope it helps a little though i certainly kept me amused at my desk for a little while tying knots with my phone cord

The 'quick release knot' is actually called 'Highwayman's Hitch'. If you google it there are lots of websites with instructions on.
