Type and breed - working it out

Sumo Cob! Oh boy! Someone had fun coming up with that one!

I should think 'type' goes on height and bone more than anything else.
 
Natives have less feather than traditionals. Yours is defo a traditional as he has feather starting at the back of his knees!! Natives can have as little hair as something like a Welsh D (starting at the fetlocks etc).

May - ah that explains the difference, I did wonder. Guess it's just the type to work out now lol
 
you will only show him in-hand in cob classes against other natives and/or traditionals, most smaller shows will just be against all coloureds. The bigger shows will have separate classes. Not much else to work out! just depends on height to see if they go in the pony or horse class when ridden as the judge only rides the horses.
