Ok so after spending many moons umming and ahhing Ive selected Typhoon S and Argento now for the final choice.

my filly is rising 3, by concorde, standing at 16hh ish still quite leggy, nice paces good natural scope and tecnique, perhaps a dab too carefull? No reall behavioural traits worth noting. decent conformation, but perhaps would like better front legs, (also thicker tail and prettier head if being fussy!)

Thoughts on which stallion has the best conformation?
Also any neagtives or positives you are aware of?
Thanks

Personally, I'd use Arko if you like Argento- cracking horse, very beautiful and just has the edge over his son for me

I spoke to John a couple of years ago when he took Argento to the stallion parade at Keysoe, before he hit the big time. At the time I was looking to put my mare to him. He said then that Argento had a great brain on him and seeing the results since, he obviously has.
Whilst I have not seen Typhoon S, I would personally go for Argento.

someone correct me if I am wrong and though i love archie (argento) i dont think he is very big so depends what you are trying to breed?

My dressage horse is by Amsterdam, who is by Argentinus (sire of Arko), and he's super spooky. My horses half brother, El Zorro, is with Matt Hicks, and he also says Zorro is super sensitive and spooky. Pop Art (Canadian dressage team horse) is also a half brother, but I don't know how spooky he is...

Just something else to bear in mind when researching his off spring...!

John whittakernis giving a demo at SSGB so it may well be that he will bring Argenti along for the stallion display. Typhoon S usually goes as well but don't know if he will def be there but of you go then you could see Arko as well as poss Argento.

I have a colt by Argento, he is going to be a big lad, even though his mother is about 16hh. I have pics if you would like to see them :)
He is lovely, and he has his grandfathers features of a small head.

I am vote for Typhoon S! Both of them are lovely horses with tonnes of scope, and whilst I like the argentinus bloodlines and Arko, I find Argento a bit heavy and small. Seeing Typhoon in the flesh he is powerful and agile, a lighter more modern type with good conformation. I think he is/was injured so I dont know if he will be out at stallion showcases or competing this year. Cant comment on offspring of either though and as others have said it depends what you are wanting to breed.

the people that have Typhoon have bred a lovely 3yo by him i saw on FB the other day x

My lad lives in the stable next to Typhoon S at the yard and he has amazing presence. He knows he is top man of the yard and lets the other boys know it. He is beautiful, moves extremely well and jumps, there are a few videos of him on you tube. I'm not sure if he is still competing, but can check. I also like Argento too though, they both have a lot to offer depending upon what you really want.
