Why on earth do people put their email addresses on their horse's adverts and never reply to them?!

I have emailed several people enquiring over their neddies yet they don't reply, unfortunatly I never have signal so I have email more often than not, when I do have signal I am either in lectures or at work.
I can understand people prefer phone calls over emails but I don't see why they don't reply at all.
Although I was emailing about one horse who sounded very nice, owner replied several times and now out of the blue I have heard nothing for over a week

Has anyone ever had the same problem?

I've not had a problem with emails but have tended to speak to them on the phone first, so perhaps that is the difference.

I hate adverts with mobile numbers and no clue where in the country they are.

I've had the same experience - saw a pony advertised and emailed to ask a few more details that were lacking in the ad but never got a reply. I prefer to email in that situation because it's much easier to get people to answer specific questions, whereas on the phone they tend to waffle around the point.

Perhaps that is the answer why they don't reply to emails because they have to commit things to the written word!

I hate it when an Ad stays on for months & months! I have phone d loads of people about their horse only to be told it had sold in September! Most of the people I spoke to have asked the site to take their ad off. Goodness it annoys me!

Another problem I came across was I found a horse for sale on H&H, obviously was a pricing mistake (14.2 gelding at £100, but seemed to be fantastic) rang them up to ask what the real price was they said it was £15,000 - checked back a week later and it is still at £100, even though she was claiming we read it wrong etc.

Ugh get the price right, take the ad of if it is sold, put a home number aswell as a mobile, and reply to all calls and emails

I'm trying to sell my lorry and have put my email address down for people to contact me for more photos. The amount of stupid questions ive had (why oh why cant people just read the advert, if it says 130,000 miles im not going to say any different in an email!) and the amount of barely legible emails that look like a 5 yearold has written them has been phenominal. Ive replied polietly to all the emails except the blatant scams (do they realy think im stupid enough to drive it to liverpool docks and onto the ferry before accepting a cheque? no i'll do IF they give me cash in sterling! particularly when they are not even going to view it first!)

so just a plea from a seller, please please read the advert first and if you do send an email please make it readable! nothing annoys me more then getting an email full of text speak.

I agree with the text talk, I won't even reply to an ad if they use text talk to be honest, puts me right off.
Sorry to hear you are getting some idiots emailing you, but from a buyer I think it is great that you reply to them all, although I am sure some don't deserve it
