Does anyone feel more waffley than a Belgian cafe over whether or not to go to the barn on a day like this? My horse is on full livery so it's not as if I HAVE to be there, and the barn is nearly 30 miles away. She hates being ridden in the wind and rain and it's not much fun for me, either. If the barn were closer, I'd happily dash up there, give her a pat and a groom. In a few months, we'll moving to within 10 miles of it which will be amazing. Doesn't help me now, though.
Last winter, I started playing about with classical in-hand work (then stopped in the spring/summer because I'd honestly rather ride) and I suppose I could continue messing about with that in the teeny tiny indoor. Indoor is too small to ride and I think it feels claustrophobic for lunging or long-reining, though it is technically lungable. It's okay for groundwork on a shorter lead or in-hand work.
Or I could continue to hide in the house.
