Help!!
I have put myself forward (read that as felt obliged) to be a rider in the final assessment for this course for BE coaches.
I am now worried about how good I need to be- I am currently competing at prelim level but getting mid 60s.
Is this an ok level or should I be at a better level!?
Don't want to be rubbish and cause the candidate to fail!!

I had the opposite- in my classroom based lesson I was teaching the biggest manufacturer of carriages about carriages! They honestly won't care as long as you can attempt the things they are asking of you, which they should match to your level anyway (or a level they assign you to 'pretend to be' but that'll be lower than your actual) :)

The candidates will be assessed on how they coach and the techniques they use not on the standard of the guinea pig. How they communicate with the rider and deal with any problems they encounter is important as is the structure of the session. No one will fail because of you so don't worry, hopefully you'll have a good lesson and pick up some useful tips and exercises.

That's great thanks!! Made me feel more confident about it now!!
That's what I am hoping eventingmum- just to get a good session out of it really, we are a newish combination and I originally put us forward for a December session but they are short in October so have asked if I can do that Aswell.

Thanks for putting my mind at rest guys- hopefully I don't send up too many issues for them!
