Can anyone give me any information on how to work through this programme?

I'm finding the website rather complicated and could do with some tips :s

I do some teaching and working through my bhs exams but this programme is very good from what I understand so trying to look into it but the website doesn't seem to really tell me what I actually need to do or how to do the exam/course?

It depends if you want to do the discipline specific versions (ie BD etc) or if you plan on doing it through the BHS? The BHS website has lots of info and their training department are really helpful - give them a ring and they will explain everything to you and tell you how it would fit in alongside current studies or existing qualifications.

I have my UKCC level 2 gained through BS. I loved it and was assessed in my teaching by Corinne Bracken and felt that how I taught and how I put across that I taught in the theory was a true reflection on how I teach in everyday life. I do have my BHS stages too up to 4 but the discipline centred approach and assessment suited me far better. Incidentally I sat my PTT exam last year and failed.....even though all my feedback was positive and nothing on my notes indicates on why I failed! I was a name and not just a candidate in the UKCC, and I think its a fantastic programme. I am always trying to plan one day getting the level 3 in SJ too.

I'm planning on taking my UKCC next year as I prefer the layout and requirements, I think the BHS do generic ones but personally I think the discipline ones are better

If you are working through the BHS exams, you will be awarded UKCC level 2 generic on completion of the PTT and attached portfolio. I believe this is the only route for the generic level 2 but I'm happy to be corrected.

If you wish to do a discipline specific UKCC then the best source for information is usually the associated society - BS/BD etc as they usually arrange the assessments.
