so my boy had ulcers and we where given ulcer gold to treat them last October
all went well and when re-scoped he was given the all clear.
the december we had an out brake of strangles,march he went lame (turned in out to be a SI problem)
strangles got the clear in may and as i am currently following a strike exercise routine for his SI issue, he has to go out in a "play pen" as he is not aloud to rally round the field, he is given 20kg of haylage at night in the pay pen and is in the stable during the day again given a 20kg net and he rarely eat it all.
any how we noticed he has started to become girthy again and off in him self, i had some ulcer gold left (in date and un opened!!) so we have been using that for 5 days and he has come back to his laid back chilled self, my worried how is how do i manage him to not get them again!?
have had him on the hack up tummy stuff but its not helped, he wont eat hay and he cant go out 24/7 or let out of the play pen yet!!
any one recommend a good ulcer preventing ulcers or some thing for my sanity please!
must add his add feed is only some safe and sound with some nuts, he is looking rather well for a TB so he doesnt need weight just no ulcers! he becomes rather difficult other wise, on this ulcer old i would put your granny on him but with out .. well he just is a night mare!
