My lad was diagnosed with grade 2 ulcers in the lower gut (not hind gut)
Nearly 3 weeks on he has gone from refusing to trot to now doing some canter and even popping a few small jumps
However after a while he will suddenly start to refuse to canter and kick out/buck, which was how he originally showed something was wrong
Now I am not sure whether it's possible that after working for say 35 mins that it would suddenly start hurting again or if he is just testing
Yesterday he was fine until he stood still for a few mins chatting. He was on when asked to walk and trot but as soon as asked for canter he refused, then when made too he did his kick/buck and then carried on no problems and seemed happy enough
He is not due to be scoped for another 3 weeks.
I obviously don't wish him to be sore but I can't afford him to learn that I'd he does this he will stop work as this kick out/buck is of the seriously unseating kind even tho he is not trying to get me off, just protest
Any ideas pls
