My mare îs going for scoping for ulcers on 6th June. I am hoping this gives us the answer to the last 2 months of issues.
Are there any other treatment available other than gastroguard - I have seen talk of an injection but can’t find a name for the injection or any info on it. Is there anything else?
Mare has been varying forms of aggression biting, kicking the last 2 months, started 10 days or so after switching from winter grazing to summer grazing, we all have to move together and no gradual increase allowed. She refuses to let you on her although I did manage to get on her twice while she was on Bute last week to see if it was kS or something else. Horse got much more girthy being ridden esp trot and canter work and refused to be brushed from shoulder backwards very aggressive. Ovary scan negative for tumours and bloods and hormones all norms. Regumate did nothing to help. At moment I am seriously considering pts if can’t sort this. My normal calm lovely mare is horrid. Lunging is a no. She on dengie healthy tummy. She normally competes novice and works elementary easily. Still aggressive with no work, eating grass 24/7.
