Seems like a silly question but until I ask it I wont know if it is. My mare was diagnosed with ulcers last December. Treatment went well and she was scoped clear in January. Now the silly bit. She lies down for about an hour's nap every afternoon - 3.30 - 4.30 after her feed. Is the stomach acid that normally sits in the glandular area then spead out all over the stomach thus increasing the risk of ulcers? It would seem a design fault it it was problematical but given that horses arent kept as nature intended it could be a problem for domesticated ones now.
Obviouly I am not going to make her stand up but just interested

Oh so not such a silly question if it sparks this thought. Will gave chat with vet. We have been out and about a lot recently so she could be tired, she is in season and dies tend to pace the fence line.
