Something is niggling me! According to this website, http://review.barnmice.com/gastric-ulcers-in-horses-part-one-symptoms/ my gelding is reluctant to work (never has been keen tbh! But more so now) he looks round at his stomach when doing girth up, he exploded the other day when I attempted to do girth up from in saddle (1st and last time I have attempted so dont know if a one off) he is always yawning, has poor body condition (still fattening up from feb when I bought him) and he is always tense, occasional bucking when riding (although he is currently a project in the making, I had put it down to his inexperience/nervousness)

He is never stabled, and ridden for about 30 minutes a week at the minute! He is a very stressy nervous horse (just started him on mag ox), has been moved yards 3 times since feb, and was previously kept on his own, but he now has a companion and they have formed a very tight pair bond/both stress and call for each other when one is removed from the paddock/he has started napping because of her!

Sorry it's long! Does this sound like it could be ulcers? Can a vet treat symptomatically or does it have to be confirmed with a scope first? Many thanks for reading!
