Awful video, poor Ulla. I hope the horse is ok, looks like he took a bad step and twisted his fetlock. What a nightmare for her.

Poor Ulla - I hope it recovers ok
Something similar happened to H - she went non-weight bearing as quick as that and it was her annular ligament (caused massive swelling around fetlock too). Not nice at all - I really feel for her and the horse!

Now, I'm not into dressage and I don't do the water works BUT I did get a huge lump in my throat when she hopped of as soon as she realised something was wrong. Really did bring a lump when she started shaking and crying for friend.

Her website now states that the injury is not as bad as originally feared, but the report of the confirmed diagnosis is in German, so have no idea what it actually is!

Just read it! It says the superficial digital flexor tendon is "stretched". They are saying three months box rest and the prognosis is good.

Glad it isn't as bad as it looked. Vibes for Ulla and Herzi!

Hopefully he'll recover.

Edited because I've just read your update. What a relief for her!!
