Just having my daily nosey and found this.

A lot of money for a mare who doesn't understand foals, not been backed...and who will only be sold to someone who is familiar with (David Stuart's) methods of horsemanship or Parelli methods. Also just because it has jumping bloodlines, does not mean it is "evidence" it will be a good jumper.

Although I know nothing about Quarter horses and so do not know if they are worth more.
Thoughts anyone?

This is strange...the best thing they could think to say about her is that she is 'herd smart and savvy'

TBH she may be quite nice, (I know nothing about Quater horses,) but the advert would put me off completely...an advert that starts by listing what she can't do never seems to be a winner!

Not even read it yet but....

'5 yrs 14.0 hh Bay American Quarter - Wiltshire'
The photos are of a strawberry roan... O.o

Ha I didn't even notice that!
I think I was too struck by how bad the advert is, and that they want £3750 or offers MORE than that!

okay...so there's an asking price. But if you REALLY want, you can pay MORE than that? I think someone needs their head seeing to....

What the fiddle?

Ok, what on earth is:

Herd Smart (surely the minimum we should expect from a...herd animal?)
Hancock breeding
David Stuart training

and really, HOW MUCH?

Lol! Ok, I've only watched a few seconds, but really.... The Importance Of Knowing Where Your Horses Feet Are.

Banter.

Taking a wild uneducated guess here.....but preferablyon the ground right, and if so, then not on your feet!!???
Lol

Makes me wanna put on a beaded waistcoat, boots and a stetson > take some photos and add 2 grand to my horses value! And for an extra grand...train them to do all wierd and wonderful stuff that has no help towards the finished ridden result! :p

I've never heard of him before the vid is rather odd.
I'll hold my toung on commenting on what i think.
Heres his website

Okay then  What I don't get is why when you find out about the young horse training, they're covering jumping. It's only a 4 week long course, and if the young horse has only been trained through that, why include jumping in its first 4 weeks?!! xx
