Well there is a title for you I will try not to ramble. I lost my nerve and gave up riding.
Following losing my nerve i began to find it. It took nearly two years before i got my nerve back and after a long search I bought the perfect horse, for me, 29March. I remember the date so well because the same day the rug was pulled from under my feet as I also lost my Dad. Two years earlier I lost my mum and was still struggling with that.
Icing on the cake was contacting Norovirus in my Dads last days when I visited the hospital.
So I coped ,badly, but the new boy was just unbelievably good. 6 months later horse ownership went pear shaped. Suddenly I was faced with a nappy rearing monster totally out of character.
Veterinary investigation discovered Kissing Spine just two processes involved so keyhole surgery was performed followed by Boxrest and lungeing in a Pessoa.
I have been very lucky because sure enough over the past 11 weeks he has proved to be the most amiable chap and we are such good friends.
The vets did our 10 week assessment on Friday and said we could start ridden work. Friday I sat for a few minutes Saturday I was led around the school and today I rode him around the arena.
So bring it on 2013 my boy is back and I am beginning to cope with Stuff.
