Hi

Just trying to get an idea of how unaff costs compare with aft events. Did anyone do stafford or shelford naff last year and if so can you recall entry cost & start fee. Or has anyone done a cost comparison???

I'd say at same venue/course looking at £20-£30 cheaper for unaff and of course no membership costs. The BE events require a higher standard of on site medical/veterinary assistance if things go wrong and give you chance to qualify toward things so depends what you want to achieve. I would rather run BE every 6 weeks than unaff every 4 as feel safety standards higher, but then I'm old and more aware of my own shortcomings an inability to bounce!

I did Moreton Morell and Aston-Le-Walls at the begining of the season last year, and the cost was around £20 cheaper to enter and the start fee was also alot cheaper. It also depends on what level you are looking to compete at but overall its alot cheaper and good for practice runs!

thanks everyone - just trying to decide what to do but just looking at costs - given there are no 'local' events to me - then it seems that actually my biggest outgoing is fuel!
