Jumped Jig at Oaklands College today in the 2'9 and 3ft. He has had a sore mouth so has been ridden in a hackamore. Went in the warm up and had no brakes and he really was not listening to me so shouldn't have really gone in the ring, but thought he would be better when he was on his own. Jumped the 1st and 2nd nicely, came round to the third and he absolutely flew it, then he tried to take a stride out of the 3 stride related distance, got it all wrong, tripped, then tried to take off and went through the fence ending up on his knees and I ended up on the floor! Was rather a shock! Went and found some brakes, my dutch gag! Went back in the 2'9 HC and he jumped a lovely clear.
In the 3ft i had a lot more control and he jumped a lovely double clear and came 2nd
Feeling a bit achy and sore now though!!
