Unashamedly self indulgent... but so proud of my girls!

2 years ago myself and some of my polocrosse croonies did a polocrosse demonstration at Badgeworth, which led to me and my OH being swamped with a load of chatty, uncontrollable, pony club monsters to coach

In the last 2 years they've turned into the nicesest bunch you could meet, and have gone from chucking their sticks on the floor cos they couldn't do it to being ultra dedicated and practicing everything to perfection (my perfectionist streak had to rub off on them, LMAO!).

Now their dedication has paid off and two of the girls have made it onto the U16's UK polocrosse squad, in just 1 and a bit seasons

WELL DONE GIRLS!!!

Now I'm using this to motivate myself when I'm stood in the cold coaching my latest bunch of beginners... hopefully the particularly insolent one will give up before long!

LMAO.. I wouldn't go as far as sometimes, more along the lines of 'very occasionally'!

I'm only 20 myself, so think sometimes I have trouble getting their respect to start off with as I'm not an authority figure, but it does mean we can be better 'friends' once we've got past the initial teething stage....

I do love all of my somerset girls to bits now, but the new bunch are a whole different thing and I think are going to take a whole lot of learning to love

Next season comes the bit where I gracefully sidestep and let the real coaches take over

Getting them onto the squad is one thing, but actually having them on the squad is V.V.V.V.V. stressful! The pressure makes everything rubbish, and is the main reason why I don't involve myself with polox anymore
