unbelievable(dead pony)

yesterday morning my friend was informed of a pony that had been shot and dumped in a field. the police was called, and the RSPCA attended. this was around 11am yesterday, i cannot believe that the poor pony is still there, as noboby wants to take responsability for it. we have been ringing people all day, our last resort was to go to the local papers. in my opinion i think this is disgusting.

Unfortunately the responsibility for moving the pony rests with the landowner - and if they don't deal with it soon, DEFRA will want to know why.

I still think they should ring the papers if they take pics of pony someone may know who owns/owned it and then they can reimburse the land owner.

yes i've been told this, but they have been in touch with the wrong owner of the land. i didn't think it could be left there . council says they will chase it up if it is still there on monday.

However why should the land owner foot the bill ( unless the poor horse belongs to them) surely the council should deal with it.

sadly it's like flytipping, the poor landowner gets dumped with the rubbish contaminating the land and the bill for removing it. No wonder they sometimes redump it into the edge of the road, dont blame them esp as a lot have it happening all the time.

The landowner will have to call out the fallen stock people to take it away unfortunately.

it was very sad to see it, it was a coloured shetland filly.
