I put the 3 boys and Saf in last night, Saf and S (one of the boys) i put in their stables in their turnout rugs as B had to leave early this morning and would make it quicker for him to chuck them all out.

Turns out B then asked our liveries to turn the 4 of them out this morning for him - BIG MISTAKE!

Said liveries put two of the boys out with the correct rugs (we think

) BUT Saf and S (who i put in wearing their turnouts) they changed their turn outs for light stable rugs and put them out in the field in light stable rugs

Now i am sorry but how the hell can you not know the difference between a HEAVY MUDDY THICK TURNOUT (which they were both already wearing) and a LIGHT CLEAN STABLE RUG!!!

THEY ARE SO THICK!

*Luckily B's daughter spotted them out with wrong rugs and has since changed them, but thats last time liveries will be asked to do anything like that.

Absolutely f'ing useless!

I think B is very thick for not giving them better instructions.

How ungrateful are you? I hope the liveries read this post and tell you where to go.

Well the turn outs were left on those two so they could just be put straight out and it would be easier!

Surely you would look and think - oh they can be just chucked straight out and don't need rugs changing?! Would you not?

Am just glad it wasn't raining so stable rugs are not soaked through!

maybe they just didn't realise you hadn't changed the rugs?

or maybe it was dark when they were turned out?

your lucky to have people turning out for you- some of us don't, or have to pay.

Maybe, just maybe, these liveries are not experts when it comes to horses and horsy stuff and didn't realise that it was OK for the horses to go out in the muddy rugs they were already wearing. Maybe B should have been a bit more specific and told them not to bother changing the rugs.

Since you obviously hate everything these liveries do around your horses, I don't think you should accept any more favours from them, and just look after your horse yourself.

Maybe i do sound a bit ungrateful...

but i don't think we'll be asking them again, we'll just sort out other arrangements.

If they were non-horsey people then i could understand.

But they are horsey people, who've had their horses for 4/5yrs you'd expect them to know the difference between a stable rug and a turn out rug!

Common sense would tell you surely... Even if it was a bit dark, there are lights in the stables, and the turnouts weigh a ton compared to light weight stable rugs and feel dirty and muddy

B usually does them in the mornings and i do them in the evenings, i didn't know he was planning on asking liveries to put them out or i would have gone and done them myself before work

To be honest, I'm beginning to wonder why any of this is really your business. And if why you are still at the yard - as you seem to hate it

Now I'm sure I'll come across as a grumpy cow, but that's exactly why I don't like asking for favours; if they get it wrong you just have to lump it (very ungracious to get arsey over a favour) and then sometimes people just seem to be so half arsed about doing what they're asked that you might as well pay someone to do the job exactly the way you want it done. I know, I'm a terrible cynic, but have learnt the hard way!

Lol i suppose they are B's liveries but B and i have always called everything 'ours' including all the 12 horses, collectively all 12 are 'ours'.

Well good news is i will only see said liveries for a couple of hours sat morning and then not till the next weekend, half of which we are at a show for anyway
