How do they get away with what???
they will make someone nice little cheap horses, I really dont understand what you are all so shocked and disgusted at these adverts.

I was thinking the same thing, and I am by no means hard-hearted. The horses look a little skinny, but they're not RSPCA cases by any means

Are you looking at the right photo's? - I agree that most on that site are fine, but the little trotter colt IS a rescue case.

Hey its the skinny colt I was objecting too, not the entire site. I keep coloured horses, That is why I looked on the site. If you bother to look at the right picture you might find that you agree. It's as poor as any of the amersham cases.

I just couldn't believe how many were 2 or 3 and being ridden or driven. That is mad, of course they are quiet, the poor things aren't even grown up yet. On page 2 is only 3, ride and drive and been running with a stallion so probably infoal, WTF she has horrendous conformation and is now adding to the FUGLY horse mountain of cr*p that is rife on this site.

Thats a very ignorant comment. Most of those horses are nice cobs and if they were advertised as riding horses on horsedeals you probably would think they were fine.

in fact, I could only see a couple in what i would describe as 'bad' condition, ie skinny, dull coats etc.

If it's their age then driving ponies are often broken at two years old... that's the norm.

Or is it that they're Gypsy ponies? Is that why people are shocked?

you see worse down the local horse market each week, the market that has a vet and RSPCA officer attending.

Most driving ponies ARE broken at two, and alot of ridden ponies broken at three then turned away. It depends on the pony...

The trotter and Goldie are skinny but not yet rescue cases. Hotrock High Jinx (grey) on page two, and 13hh piebald ride and drive colt on page one (the one with no pic) are WAY TOO YOUNG to be working at all, thats disgusting!! Owners want shooting.
Just because breaking at two for driving is the norm doesnt make it right, its like TB babies being backed at silly ages, might be norm but its NOT right. People like these make me sick!!!!!!
