I'm a Newbie who found H&H while watching Heartland. I have no horse or hound but I do have questions and like to learn new stuff. I'm an old guy, a problem solver and a known asker of questions frequently considered to be inept ... but they often cause folks to think outside the box. I wondered why horses don't fall over in trailers on stops and starts and curves and then on the H&H Forum I found that they can and do fall and/or lose balance. So being a car guy with Zero horse knowledge I wonder: 1] what kind of suspension does a horse trailer have; is air suspension, load leveling, or maybe torsion bar suspension used, 2] what kind of vibration is in the trailer floor for the hoofs to feel, 3] what kind of vibrations does the horse hear while travellng, 4] is noise canceling technology used in a horse trailer, 5] what about foreign odors in the trailer during transit ... there is air purification tech avail that can remove all odors and pathogens ... Heartland says horses are sensitive/emotional beings. Last question ... what do humans use to stay happy while cooped up on a road trip? I'm really looking forward to learning more about horses ... and hounds. Thanks for my opportunity and as a Patriotic American I'll close with Have a GREAT American Day!

The answer to your questions is that trailers are noisy bumpy shaky things with a basic sprung suspension, and anyone who has travelled in one wonders why our horses consent to get back in them after the first trip.

Looking forward to your future questions, welcome!
