Surprised the tendon boots aren't sheepskin lined!

[/ QUOTE ]

I did have some beautiful Barnsby ones with plush sheepskin lining, but they were a little big for her, and I had to sell them

And as we are just happy hackers now, I cannot really warrant buying new ones, only for them to get caked in mud everytime we go out!

i love those sheepskin half pads, they take you so far away from your horses back it gives them the best excuse ever to ignore you seat aids

why do you not just remove the noseband if she has a sensitive face? Or does she have all that sheepskin on for another reason? *cough*fashion*cough*

I dont think Ellie minds being dressed up like a sheep - even if she is terrified of them! I am amazed how clean it all looks - the riser pad is only a few weeks old, but the girth sleeve has now had 7 years of constant use, and looks pretty smart! It all goes through the washing machine, then I use a mane comb to comb it all through afterwards

I must confess.....I have no real reason for using it all other than fashion (although the noseband has now replaced my martingale, and does a great job at stopping her sticking her nose in the air). I have a riser because.....I like risers, I have a saddle cover because it stops my nails scratching the leather of my saddle (poor excuse!) and I have the girth cover because she can be very sensitive there, and it stops it rubbing

I think I'm suffering from pudding withdrawal symptoms - your saddle reminds me irresistably of a pavlova . . . . . . . . . *drools*
