what rubbish? - I can only see a pit of paper and a pick-up truck, I'm sure he didn't ride it far.
If some clown did that at a parelli conferance no-one would turn a hair!

I find that and the majoirty of the rest of the photos quite disturbing... lots of scared horses and in one of the pictures lots of litter in river..... but thats only my view - cant say I would find being there particularly a nice experience but then I am only judging it from a few photos

i too love appleby and think your pic is funny !!
but like you say unless its parelli its a no go !!
although my horse would be more scared of the parelli
stick hitting him oops tapping him (hard) on the head,
than riding around at appleby !!!!!!!!!!!!
 
I hate parelli! I smack my horses when they are bad, im not afraid of using my whip HARD in certain situations but that picture disgusts me! Fat p**** on poor little pony is all i see. I see nothing cute about it and it may be fun for the fat little s*** but im sure the pony doesnt enjoy it and i can bet any money that hes probably attempted to hammer it around the paddock for a laugh!

I was there that year and that poor petrified coloured pony being driven ran one of the 'travellers' over and broke his leg, which in my sadistic way I found quite funny, and pleasing that one of the idiots got hurt. The pony was OK, I made sure of that.

The boy on the grey shetland doesn't look too much for the pony. The pony is in a headcollar & rope & the boys are chatting happily. The rubbish is plastic bottles & paper. As Appleby fair goes, it isn't a bad picture & I don't find that much wrong with it.

The boy is not overweight, unlike the one in the OP's pic which I agree, IS cruel.
