I took an undercoat rake to my GSD x Rottie a couple of weeks ago, ever since its been non stop hair and his coat isn't looking that brilliant.

Do I keep going and get it all to make his coat normal again? I literally have half the dog I did!

It's probably because you've started and there is still some left. I would keep going and get it all out. The rake should only pull the dead stuff out and he'll fell much better after I'd imagine. I do my double coated dogs everyday and get barely any out but if I leave it a week or so I get loads off.

Oh, that makes me feel better, I've only just bought it so he hasn't been done for at least 2 years....

I could Hoover twice a day atm it's ridiculous, but yes, hopefully he'll feel better.

Even if I do it outside, he's still shedding everywhere, hopefully it's nearly done now. Harder to keep track of a toddle outside when focused on the dog!

This is just a pets at home comb,

My dogs tend to do a twice a year moult because they are predominantly outdoor dogs, rather than the continual shedding you tend to get with indoor dogs. I spend days and days grooming mine 3 or 4 times a year. The more you comb, the more seems to come out. I use a Furminator for my dogs and it works great. Mine don't look moth-eaten because I keep going until all of the loose hairs on that day are out. If I were you, I'd keep at it until your dog has fully moulted and then you should start to see his shiny self return.
